The temperature of our yoga room is similar to our bodies own temperature. This warmth stimulates improvement in the many benefits of your yoga practice. To really begin to understand Hot yoga requires a reasonable trial period (two weeks?). Yoga restores and improves vitality, heals and helps prevent a range of common chronic conditions. Yoga is accessible to everyone and anyone can begin to practice yoga postures. The alchemy of yoga is augmented by practicing postures in a heated environment. The combination of yoga postures, heat, sweat, breath, and regular practice, creates an elixir for the mind, body, and spirit. This yoga elixir is transformational: improving awareness, focus; it lifts your spirits. The physical practice of postures on the body uses contraction, stretching, compression, and release of soft tissues to create openness and evenness. Natural body "tourniquets" are applied during the postures to the various areas of your body and then released to allow increased flow of circulation, nourishment and elimination wastes. Regular practitioners realize maximum results can be had when our bodies are fully warmed up; radiating warmth from within. After experiencing different levels of heat, we have found the generation of internal heat is preferable to the absolute room heat. In this way your yoga is more productive, effective and enjoyable. Our room is thermostatically controlled so the temperature never gets too warm and fresh air delivery is designed into the system. The warmth means we can get into postures more deeply and effectively. Like many, you will find practice of yoga in a heated room creates an alluring, feeling of achievement. The advantages are many:
